excellent service
I purchased a fridge freezer on the 29.12.07. John Lewis phoned on 30.12.07 to confirm delivery for 07.01.08. between 8am-1pm. Delivered on the stated date at 10am. No delivery charge and a free 2 year guarantee. I was very impressed with this company and will certainly use them again and have also informed family and friends. Top marks.

Never a problem
Saw a 3 star mark against John Lewis and had to respond - in 30 or so year of shopping with this company we have never had a problem that wasn't sorted promptly and courteously. Prices are generally competitive and the price match is there if you need it. If someone else locally is selling lower than JL they normally mark the ticket price down - example, Sony 15" lcd television was £275 on the web site, £250 - £275 in other retailers and £219 on the shelf ticket in my local JL- with 5year guarantee. Every retailer will have the odd unhappy customer, but JL gets it right more than any other retailed I use.

Poor delivery. Poor customer care.
My product was delivered late, and when I discovered a fault in the product, I called up John Lewis and dispite being told I would be called back several times, I never received a call. They did eventually exchange my product, but just a tip, I kept all of the origional packaging, which I think made the process a bit easier.
