Intelligent Networking Features for a Scalable, Secure Solution NETGEAR’s ProSafe Dual Band Light Wireless Access Point WAGL102 delivers the secure, reliable, high-performance wireless local area networks (WLANs) today’s mobile workforce demands. The WAGL102 Access Point supports both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz 54 Mbps radio transmission in both 802.11g and 802.11a in turbo mode. It supports up to 128 simultaneous wireless clients and client types within the same coverage area. Managed and configured by the NETGEAR Prosafe Smart Wireless Controller, the WAGL102 is a “light” wireless access point which is part of the overall NETGEAR ProSafe Smart Wireless Solution. The WAGL102 supports integrated IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE). Secure Managed and configured by the NETGEAR ProSafe Smart Wireless Controller (WFS709TP), the WAGL102 is a “light” wireless access point that implements the 802.11 standard. As part of the centralized architecture, much of the security configuration such as WPA2-Enterprise (802.11i), WPA2 and 802.1x support happens at the NETGEAR ProSafe WFS709TP. The NETGEAR ProSafe Smart Wireless Controller also supports MAC address authentication, support for multiple BSSID/VLANs and guest/contractor access.
