Bellissimo! The best of luxury Italian brands

Italy is renowned for its luxury brands, often associated with the fashion and car industries. But as well as being of high quality, Italian brands have always had that touch of originality. Let’s have a look at some of the top brands and their logos.

Prada

Founded in Milan at the beginning of the century, Prada started out as a simple leather merchant but quickly became one of the most well-known Italian brands in the world. Prada still sells its leather bags, but has also branched to clothing, perfumes and accessories such as sunglasses.

Ferragamo

Ferragamo was created in 1928 in Florence. The brand is specialised in luxury footwear but also sells a range of perfumes and ready-to-wear clothing.

Ermenegildo Zegna

Ermenegildo Zegna is a brand that has existed since 1910, where it was founded in Trivero. The brand is known for its men’s fashion range made from high-quality materials, wool in particular.

Fendi

Known for fur and shoes, Fendi was founded in 1925 by Eduardo and Adèle Fendi. Karl Lagerfeld has been the creative director of Fendi since 1965. The brand also sells designer accessories such as sunglasses and perfumes.

Versace

Gianni Versace created this brand in Milan in 1978. It is a luxury Italian brand that distinguishes itself on the catwalk. Versace sells clothing, perfumes and accessories.

Giorgio Armani

Named after the creator himself, Giorgio Armani has existed since 1974. It is a high-fashion brand which sells ready-to-wear clothing and accessories.

Gucci

Gucci fashion house has been around since 1921, when it first started creating luxury clothing. Tom Ford is one of its most well-known creators.

Bulgari

Bulgari is one of the oldest Italian jewellers (created in 1884). The brand also commercializes a range of luxury watches, perfumes and cosmetics.

Valentino

Since its creation in Rome in 1960, Valentino has been selling  ready-to-wear clothing as well as fashion accessories.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini started out by making tractors in 1951, but has since then moved to luxury sports cars. One of their most famous cars has to be the Countach.

Ferrari

Enzo Ferrari first started making sports cars in 1947 in Maranello. Since then, it has become one of the most well-known sports cars brands in the world.
