Girl Play is a vivacious romantic comedy that revolves around the real life relationship between Robin Greenspan, who is essentially "married" to her girlfriend, and Lacie Harmon, whose relationships don't seam to last past one night of passionate sex. They meet when they are cast to play lesbian lovers in a Los Angeles stage play. Innocently, flamboyant stage director Gabriel directs the actresses through a series of rehearsals designed to "bring out the intimacy" in each performer. The two women find themselves increasingly and undeniably attracted to each other, and overcome with desire.
