First, the bad news; La Bella Mafia is still wall-to-wall smut, and there is nothing to suggest that Kimberley "Lil' Kim" Jones has enhanced her subterranean level of self-esteem. All the same, this third album is rather fine. The 4' 11" emcee has generated many times her own height in column inches since the death of her mentor and sometime lover, the Notorious B.I.G..
